Nano zinc oxide coating with high efficiency for cooling electronic components
The cooling system is a very important role for electronic devices. High temperatures can degrade the performance of materials or damage them and also to stop the electronic devices when they are active.
Usually people use a zinc oxide coating to enhance the efficiency of the cooling system transformation, including the coolant evaporates, absorbing heat, diffusion to the condenser and is pumped back heat source in a continuous cycle. This system is a method of effectively cooling electronic devices, for example the processor of the computer.
The introduction of the cooling system type zinc oxide coating has brought many benefits to electronic industry: Heat is transmitted at a relatively stable temperature and no longer the local hot spots, heat is removed quickly by the coolant temperature not only increases but also volatile.
Recently, researchers at the National Laboratory Pacific Northwest and the University of Oregon (USA) have discovered that a coating with zinc oxide nanostructures can increase the speed of remove heat from the surface equipment is four times faster than conventional zinc oxide coating. When coated onto the surface of electronic components, zinc oxide nanostructures will increase the instability of the surface, thus promoting heat transfer.
One of the advantages of nano zinc-oxide coating is relatively low implementation costs through application of the sedimentation process at low cost solution.
